I'll dominate 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest financial successes, consistently making massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters participated in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
