Large-scale Moscow's Strikes Cut Power Throughout Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
The country's energy systems have faced increased strikes in the past few days

Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in power cuts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were wounded while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and dealt with disruption to water supplies, per reports from city officials.

Meanwhile, a minor was lost their life in a distinct assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, as reported by regional authorities.

Moscow has intensified strikes on energy facilities over recent weeks, while the country's government has called for "real steps" from allies to increase pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the America, the EU and the Group of Seven - in supplying defensive weapons and applying penalties," was stated in a social media post.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and over thirty rockets struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

Government representatives said Russia was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were working to repair systems.

A wave of strikes struck energy infrastructure and apartment buildings in the capital.

Multiple people wounded in the attacks on the city have been hospitalized, according to local officials.

Regional authorities said the urban area experienced significant strikes overnight. A seven-year-old child lost their life and multiple civilians were hurt.

The assaults succeed nights of aerial attacks in the region, sections of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

The entire country is on alert for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to identify.

Authorities told reporters that Moscow was intentionally trying to demolish the national power system, with assaults already disrupting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and authorities were anticipating additional strikes.
